Wellcome Trust’s £1bn Olympic plans unveiled ….

Just a quick update on yesterday’s posting on the Wellcome Trust stepping up the pressure as it looks to take control of the Olympic Park.

The charitable organisation has unveiled its Olympic Park ‘vision’ here.

Here is its statement on what it plans to do with the problem media centre and the park too: “The vision is focused on economic growth. The creation of a new Life Sciences Innovation Centre in the Olympic Media Centre would act as an iconic hub to drive additional investment to the site. This investment would establish the Park as a world-class centre for research and development, generating 7000 jobs and attracting the very best minds, ideas and technologies to London and the UK for years to come.”
